This is a clean and comfortable hotel that I'd absolutely stay at again. The service was about the best I've had at a hotel. Brynn, in particular, was incredibly helpful and empathetic. When I explained to her why I was out here (unfortunately it isn't for a great reason), she genuinely made extra effort to assist me and make my stay as pleasant as possible. She was a standout, but every single person working here that I've encountered is just happy and really does a great job. The rooms were really clean, and they're really generous on their provided towels/linens and quick to bring you more if needed. The beds and pillows are really comfortable and plush. The best part? The air conditioning gets SO cold, I actually had to turn it up at one point- I almost never do that. There's a nice lobby/sitting area with games and coloring activities for kids, and the pool is smaller, but clean, warm, and has long hours. I didn't use it, but the fitness center has everything you need and good hours. There isn't much walking distance, except for a gas station mini-mart and a Dunkin Donuts, but everything is a short Uber away (Wegmans, Target, Walmart, several restaurants/fast food chains) and downtown took me about 8 minutes to get to this morning. I'm hoping I don't have to be back out here, but if I do, I won't even look for another hotel. This will be the immediate booking.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and, unfortunately, the experience did not match the price we paid. The biggest disappointment was the customer service at reception. The receptionist was very cold and not welcoming at all. The interaction felt dry, and we did not feel helped or valued as guests. A more friendly and inviting attitude would have made a big difference. The facilities also felt outdated and in need of improvement. One positive point is that the parking location was convenient and easy to access. Another issue was that during the middle of the night we found stink bugs in the room, which can be seen in the photos. We understand this may not happen in every room, and perhaps we were just unlucky, but it still affected our stay and overall comfort. Since we only stayed one night, we cannot say if this is a recurring problem throughout the hotel. However, considering the price we paid, the overall experience and service were definitely not worth it.

I had a wonderful experience at this Country Inn & Suites. From the moment I checked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional, making me feel right at home. The suite was spotless, spacious, and very quiet, with a bed so comfortable that I had a great night's sleep. also really appreciated the amenities; the high-speed Wi-Fi was very reliable and having a microwave and fridge in the room was a huge plus. The complimentary hot breakfast was the perfect way to start the day—the waffles are definitely a must! Everything was clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip!"

The staff at this hotel are professional, kind, thoughtful, everything you would hope for but don’t always receive. As a frequent traveler I very much appreciate the accommodating and welcoming atmosphere. I would without a doubt recommend this hotel over and over again to anyone traveling in the State College/Penn State area. Comfortable and clean - thank you to all the staff for making my time away from home enjoyable and peaceful.

We've stayed in various State College hotels and I have to say that this was one of the best experiences we've had. Desk workers were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, breakfast was good, and the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the lobby were a real treat. Loved to fact that you could Chromecast from your phone to the TV. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here several times now. When it comes to a Country Inn & Suites, this one is well above average. Great and large rooms. Cookies, coffee, tea, and lemon water all day long, and an amazing pool and hot tub (that actually works). Staff is super nice too. A+ for this one!

I had a daughter that attended Penn state from 2018-2022 and another 2024 -present. We previously stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn but noticed a decline in both room quality and overall upkeep. Most importantly, the hotel manager we loved, Kendra, had moved to the Country Inn — and we happily followed her. Best decision we ever made! From the moment you’re greeted at the front desk, you can feel the difference. The staff, housekeeping, and overall service are exceptional. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is amazing, and the ambience is outstanding. You truly get more than your money’s worth here. You simply can’t beat this hotel — we will absolutely be back!

This hotel is amazing ? It snowed last night, so the view from our window was completely white and dreamy. When we walked in, we immediately noticed how clean and spacious the room was. The staff are so friendly. special thanks to Kendra for making our family’s stay extra special.

I had my bridal shower here. I stayed for 2 nights at the hotel so I could see my friends and family outside of just the shower. The space we got for the shower was awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean The pool area was also very clean, as was every space in the hotel. Each staff member met or interacted with was great, friendly and helpful. A lot of the time I just felt like I was talking to my mom.

This hotel has amazing staff and trains them well. 5hey are extremely professional and even when minor mistakes happen management takes care of them professionally and swiftly. I'm especially grateful for Kendra one of the assistant managers for helping us and making our stay wonderful. Also we are very thankful Rodger the maintenance man / shuttle driver for do such a good job. UPDATE: we accidentally forgot some jewelry, so they called us and then shipped it to us. So they are very honest!
